Can you replace these yourself? Where can you get one?

The ones under my 2 systems are too small and don't drain correctly.

I would like to know this too as mine is pretty rusted out.

Where are you?

Find a sheetmetal/welding type fabrication shop and have them make one.

I know of a place in Plano that I think would do them. Cox welding off of 14th (assuming they are still around.)

Condensate drain pans.

If you can find one the right size, order a couple of the plastic ones. Problem is it may be bigger than the opening to the attic.

Check your primary drain line. Rust means your pan is holding water and likely has an obstructed primary drain line. If left unresolved, you could have a very serious problem in the future.

edit for clarification: primary drip pan inside the coil housing, or the big pan under the whole air handler?

Ryan - you're right. I had the whole system inspected last week and it's fine for now. The main line drips as normal, secondary line is fine. The repairman just mentioned the pan is getting to where it will need to be replaced on the next maintenance check.

I learned the hard way, but I had a busted primary line nipple instead of a blockage.
