Yesterday playing at ColoVista in Bastrop I did something that seems highly improbable. With my regular group we were teeing off on 18. I had been hitting a little fade with my driver. Aimed up the left side of the fairway and let it fly. I never saw the ball. One of my friends was standing behind me and he said he saw it go left. He said he saw a limb fall out of the tree and the ball dropped straight down.
We drive up to the tree and see my ball. I get out of the cart to go hit it and almost step on a dead squirrel. It took me a second to process exactly what had just happened. The squirrel had blood coming out of its nose and mouth and was clearly freshly dead. I picked it up and told my friend "here is the limb". I could not stop laughing. Chunked my next shot.
What are the odd of nailing a squirrel with your tee shot?
Here is the dead squirrel.
