I've returned to golf after 17 years and need my next club or two. I bought Titleist T250 launch spec 5-GW and Titleist GT2 a few months ago. I'm looking for the next distance up from my 27 degree 5 iron that carries 170-180.

I generally hit my driver long enough for my second shot to reach most par 4s with 5 iron or less, but could use the extra distance on a long par 3s, a few 4s, and 5s. I could also, ego permitting, hit the new club off the tee. I'm very comfortable with irons and my last fairway wood was a TaylorMade 3 from 1993. I'm a picker and will continue to work on improving my low point.

Chat tells me 21 degree 5 hybrid, what's the real world think?

note: apparently TexAgs doesn't accept alt 0176.

Being a picker/sweeper is usually a good argument for choosing a fairway wood over a hybrid. A 21 degree hybrid is roughly equivalent to a 23 degree wood, which would be a 7w or 9w and ridiculously easy to hit.
