Transfusions are a pretty common drink at golf courses/clubs. For those of us who enjoy them, I'd like to get input on the best ones you've had.

For this discussion there are two categories: pre-mixed and mixed.

The best mixed I had were at Houston Oaks. When we were hosted for a TexAgs outing there, a gentleman whose name slips my mind made multiple of them that were perfectly balanced - great flavor and not too much ginger beer.

The best pre-mixed I recently discovered are the Welchs craft cocktails version. I found them out of state, but searching online I cant seem to find them in the Houston area. I've had a number of other pre-mix versions (Owens, etc.), but the Welchs stood out to me.

The Double Transfusion at Bandon Dunes is the best. Comes with a view too.

Also, once you go Water Hazard, it's hard to go back to Transfusions. Light blue Gatorade Zero, vodka, splash of sprite zero and low cal lemonade. Delicious.

I am torn because I like them both, a lot. Now that the wife plays golf as well, our statement is just littered with ring ups for 1 or 2 transfusions at a time.

We tried to do a transfusion slushie and I think I need one of those Ninja Slushie machines to get it right and take a big stanley or yeti of that out on the course.

They are my drink of choice at a golf course ....

Best mixed transfusion ive had is at Sand Hills

Their grape juice was different and it was phenomenal

Check out OWENS transfusion mixers. I have tried a bunch and these are my favorite. They come in a four-pack

I'm not an expert but I do enjoy them. Curious what y'all come up with recipe.

Prairie Ale in Oklahoma has a beer style that I had once and thought it was good.

I had one at course with cranberry instead of grape and it was not good. I like cranberry too.

I mix grape flavored electrolyte powder with water and vodka then top with ginger ale. Drink one before beer to help with hydration. I've experimented with carbonated water, sprites, etc.

I could drink the ocean water and be okay w the view out at Bandon

Best I've ever had was at the Cradle Crossing at Pinehurst. Had several that night we played it

Highland pines makes a good one

Fields Ranch had a nice one when I played two years ago

Water Hazard at Firestone CC for the win. They're borderline dangerous.

I had a water hazard on the course today, I think it and the transfusion are perfect drinks for the course, but depends on the sweetness I want.

I have started asking for light grape juice on my transfusions when I order them.

I prefer club specials, but that was more of a thing when I lived in OKC because nobody here in MN knows WTF it is.

This is what our club serves, but I think they are too limey...so I get half mix and half ginger ale

Every premix I have had taste like medicine. If its not fresh and a non premix I cant stand it. Ruins it for me. That being said the Tra nny I had at Cliffhangers 2 weeks ago was phenomenal

Thats what I thought about a lot of the premix ones until I had the Welchs.

I'll try to transport some so you can try one.
