any suggestions for golf around uvalde...

we usually play Frio Valley in Concan but it's closed for a private event the day we are there. Is it worth it to drive to the course in Utopia or to Uvalde for the course there? Has anyone played those courses recently?

There's a good course between Castroville and Hondo.

The uvalde course was in horrible shape earlier this yr. I haven't been by there since the flooding. We play Eagle Pass and the fort course in Bracketville. Keep your expectations low for the area!

Oh Lord. Haven't played Eagle Pass( municipal course back then) since the 60s. Is that still the only course or have they built another one? The 2nd hole you use to have to hit over the sewer plant settling ponds. Wow was that ripe in the summer time. On the par 5 number 5 hole it went along the river and those little kids from Mexico would still your ball after you hit off the tee. You could buy it back a day or two later for a quarter. Wild times back then in EP.

You could watch "7 Days in Utopia" and then go play the course (twice, since it's a 9-hole)

Concan has a course, though I have not played it nor know what shape it's in.
