Anyone a subscriber to The Golfers Journal/Broken Tee Society?

I just signed up and am looking forward to the quarterly print, but probably moreso the events. Going to try to get into 1-2 per year. Also, best Youtube golf content!

Regular subscriber here for a few years. Amazing magazine. I've started gifting subs to my friends who are also golfers. The podcast is great, as well.

Yes, there's a few of us here. I'm going to my 4th event next month at Sleepy Hollow CC. They have some coming up in Texas later this fall you might try for. Trinity Forest was a fun one last year.

I've finally convinced the wife that I do in fact need a golf simulator at the house.

Subscriber and I think the content is next level. The variety of golf related stories they share is amazing. No swing tips, no latest and greatest gimmicks. Just great golf related content.

Anyone also Nest (NLU) members too? Just curious about the difference.

I've always thought about joining BTS

As mentioned there are a few of us here on it. I played in the Trinity Forest event last year and got randomly paired with 98/99. Had a blast out there.

I discovered both BTS and Fried Egg at the same time last year. I didn't know about the NLU one. Its cool to see how the different groups/societies compare to each other.

I haven't been selected for a BTS event this year, but I'm still on the wait list for a few. We'll see what happens.

Busy work life has kept me from making any events.

Have considered playing a couple times before. I am in GA so considering more of the east coast stuff. What does the swag generally consist of? Wondering if the day is worth the cost

For the kinds of events that they put on or Fried Egg or the like... the price of the event is really about getting access to play a course you'd never otherwise be able to. The swag is a nice bonus but I wouldn't count on considering that as part of your value question.

What's the best track you've played w them?

I play Fried Egg ones but I have friends who've played Golfers Journal events and done Prairie Dunes.

Milkman is correct. I did the big event at Sand Valley last year with TGJ and we got a shoe fitting from Foot Joy and a pair of shoes, so that was nice. The other events had a hoodie and t-shirt which were nothing to write home about. The point about playing a course you'd other wise never be able to is what you're paying for. I've had Sleepy Hollow circled for a few years and finally got chosen and would be perfectly fine with receiving nothing as a gift.

I saw the BTS van down at St Simon's back in March…looked like everybody enjoyed their time at Sea Island

SH would be incredible to play. You'll spend Masters money in the pro shop there. One of the best logos in golf

I love the books, discounts, access and all the other stuff. But the access to courses is ultimately what sold me on golf societies.

Courses that I had no connections to but were able to play through events:

BTS - Shady Oaks and Trinity Forest

TFE - Bellair (Tampa, Florida), Sara Bay, Dunes Club, Lost Dunes and Culver Academies golf course.

I'm happy with those so far, but I've talked to guys who have played many more and even more exclusive ones. Its a pretty cool setup.
