Why did they start at dusk
So they can play the majority under lights, I guess. Brooks and Bryson need to wake up.
I guess they have holes lighted ahead, because there's nothing set up on the ones they've played.
Nobody beating team PGA when Rory is 4 under through 4 on his own ball and he's about to alt shot with the best player in the world
Brooks hits a very nice approach. Rory says "hold my Guinness" and cuts his meat from the bunker
How's the broadcast? Recorded it so I could watch after I put the little ones down. Worth tuning in?
Broadcast isn't bad. I don't care to hear from Barkley and it seems like he's doing most of the talking. Don't need him in the booth cracking jokes when you have Feherty on the broadcast.

Barkley is carrying it.
The players are mic'ed but they're not very engaging. Scottie and Rory discussing Creatine is the highlight so far.
I'm enjoying this format!
Format is interesting, but overall pretty boring
These guys are too locked in, no banter. You can't tell me this is how they normally play on a course.
Any riding a bike around the course?
Best part has been the spectator missing the putt because Rory gave him the wrong read, ha!
Yeah this is nice. The previous Matches with celebs and other athletes wasn't golf for golf people. It was golf for a ln average person who knows Steph Curry and likes them goofing around.
They've actually taken it much more seriously.

It got very cold very fast. Also felt like the pure night golf wasn't super fun to follow once it got late. Was only lit up by strategically placed lights. Did enjoy how serious they seemed to be playing.
I thought that might be it. I live in the Phoenix east valley and
it's cold AF as soon as the sun sets and until mid-morning. I didn't know they were playing this into darkness.

I thought it was entertaining. Barkley is always good for laughs. Other than Rory the putting was pretty ugly.

Putting at night under lights isn't easy unless you are used to it.
I know its been said, but I really think these types of things need to be pre produced packages down to 2 hours or so. It was just the 4 of them, and they only played 14 holes and it still took them 4 hours.
Forget worrying about drawing a live crowd or celebs, go play a course that is interesting but couldn't/wouldn't hold a big event event (The Lido, Chambers, Prairie Dunes, Ohoopee). Do it during daylight and prepackage it.
You can show do a lot of good for highlighting what makes interesting golf, show every shot, and cut down all the dead time of them driving in carts and do it in an amount of time that holds people's interests.

The stupid earpieces and trying to have discussions/banter with them when they're playing is something that is so unappealing to me.
Listen in on them talking to each other, fine, but I can't stand that whole 'hey we're right here with you" element they do on these things.
Also agree on length. I didn't turn it on until they were in singles and while some of it was fun, most of it was excruciatingly boring.

Exactly. They aren't going to be giving the announcers a play by play of their thoughts if they are actually focusing on the golf, which everyone wants them to be.
It was great for me. I recorded it and watched every shot in less than an hour. Bryson was the weak link which was surprising to me. He could never get anything going. Did have the one great shot on 4 but blew the putt. Rory was money.
Agreed. Only time I've played at night was the back nine of a scramble and the course looked completely different with the shadows.
