Been hitting a 10 year old set of Miz Hot Metals. My brother got a set of Ping G430s for his birthday and would not shut up about them. I went to club champion on a whim...they felt amazing. Easily added 10+ yards with tighter dispersion. Decided to bite the bullet.

I always kind of felt that the "updated" technology year end and year out is a way for these manufacturers to take your money but I am not sure anymore. I think I will finally break 80 soon.

Anyway if anyone has these in your bag let me know your thoughts. I have never been a Ping guy but I am now.

I have G430 irons. And a G430 hybrid. And a G430 7 and 3 wood. And my driver? A G430 SFT.

I am a Ping fanboy. Had Eye 2's in high school and then some G15's after that. I've never owned a single club that wasn't Ping. I just like the way they feel and they are consistent. Extremely consistent and forgiving. I will say the 430's were different for me because they were the first ping club I had that didn't feel huge clunky and not much to look at. They are longer, but mainly because of the lofts. I can't really tell you how they compare to anything else because I've never played anything else. Others I play with hit them and love them too. With one guy even getting a set of his own. Ping clubs are a bit of an odd duck. Wonderfully engineered but they don't put a lot in marketing and you don't see them on tour much. But they have a very loyal following and just make well designed useable clubs for most recreational golfers.

Year over year - probably not worth the $'s to make a change...but across a 10 year gap like you, for sure.

I'm still gaming Ping i10's from 2009, but I don't play more than once a year - 4 kids will do that to a fella - but if I did, I'd be in great need of an upgrade.

Ping fan boy as well.

Still play my Ping Eye 2 from 1989 that I took from dad at 15 years of age and still my clubs today.

Just bought some Ping Zing for $50 with a copper putter and S wedge with the maroon red color bag.

I still play i5 irons. Some 70 year old asked me if I know they have a newer version.

Playing 6-9, W, 45 all G430, and driver is the G430SFT. 5 iron is a G425. Love em!

Love my Ping Blueprints, hard to waver from these, but I have my eyes on a set of Takoma 301CB.
Love the feeling of the softer heads. Maybe a Christmas gift

I don't really have any brand loyalty with golf clubs, but Ping's hybrids and fairway woods are hard to beat. I currently play a G430 4H and a G325 LST 3-wood. I love both those things.
