Read a book a while back about an American kid who went over to St. Andrews to be a caddie. At the Old Course they had a bunch of sayings like that. One of them was a "Sally Gunnell", who was a track star that apparently many of them didn't find to be attractive. So if someone hit a bad shot that was running along the ground, they would say: "Sally Gunnell - she's ugly but she's running!!"
Well the story goes that one day this caddie is with a golfer who hits such a shot, and the caddie exclaims: "Sally Gunnell - she's ugly but she's running!!"
