Do you have a preference in terms of hat closures?

Snapback:

Vs Loop / Velco Closure

Please advise. TY!

Fitted beats everything. But if that's not a possibility, my second choice would be the old school strap and buckle. Infinitely and easily adjustable, with a classic look. Velcro straps are infinitely adjustable, but a PITA to adjust. Snapbacks are easy to adjust, but not infinitely so. (Also look kind of cheap IMO.)

I prefer the velcro... can get the exact size I want

Velcro by far over snap back.

I like the classic metal one like G Martin, but only on my nicer hats. If it's the nice performance material like in the ones above, the Velcro is perfect since I take them in the pool too.

Old school strap and buckle > Velcro > trucker snap back.

I like velcro with the slit on the other slide to allow any excess to be tucked "inside" the hat so no large overhang.

Kinda like this but velcro

This. Its either fitted or bucket style for me. I got a big noggin (7 5/8 to 7 3/4) so snapbacks and the like don't work.

I don't think I've ever had a fitted golf hat, not the cap and visor variety listed above. I've had fitted baseball style hats

Fitted golf hats? Where does one purchase such a thing? Snap is the only answer unless you just don't care what people think of you.

I have a fitted Black Clover hat. It's the most comfortable golf hat I own.

This is the best non-fitted option IMO.

I love the Velcro that Imperial has on there classic style hat. Especially the little piece that stretches that attaches to the loop part.

I think folks that are saying "fitted" are actually referring to the elastic banded hats that do stretch to fit to your head. These are not truly fitted hats as they are not a single size like an actual fitted hat but just small/medium, med/large and large/xl.

The problem with these pseudo fitted hats is the elastic gives out and you are left with a very ill fitting, loose hat, which sucks. I have a bunch of these hats and many have already been rendered useless by the elastic giving out, which is really frustrating as these are some of my favorite hats that cannot be readily replaced. I have stopped buying them and have gone back to snap or Velcro backed only.

And for the life of me I don't understand how some Velcro baked hats do not have the little slit for excess. I have cut a couple into hats that didn't have them.

I refer to true fitted hats, not the flexfit nonsense.

I like to wear the L/XL Nike Golf Hats - specifically the 99 classic - Link
^ perfect for my big a** head

I also wear some of the New Era Caps that are truly fitted and a polyester/spandex blend - Link
^ get to rep my Stros in the process, and it came with a free ball marker clip

yes I understand. but people are talking about "fitted" golf hats, which are not a thing that I have ever seen and I don't think they exist. Flexfit is all we have, and they suck after the short term.

Best of both fitted and adjustable is the FLEXFIT 110. Has elastic in band along with snapback. These are the most comfortable and best fitting caps I have found. Just my 2 cents.

This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between a ball cap and a golf hat?

Golf hats are typically more of a moisture wicking material.
