I am still using my Leupold GX-1 from circa 2010 after I took a decade plus break from golf. While good at it's time of release, many improvements have been made to golf range finders, with the ability to lock onto non-prism flags with visual/auditory/and other feedback. A "newer" aspect is image stabilization to aid in function even further.
Some golf buddies have Bushnell, but have had some issues them, but not across the board, just enough to take notice. My Leupold has not had any issues, but does take a little longer to get a range reading than the others, etc. but does function. Wife is hitting me up for B-Day ideas, and my son who recently has taken up golf wants a range finder, so you can see where this is going.
I am a Leupold scope guy for my deer rifles, so you know I am looking at the GC-6 which has flag lock (not dependent on prism (but evidently no lock feedback unless prisms, and has stabilization. However Vortex (I have a Vortex Monocular and it is my hunting back-up in case binos get damaged, etc. and think it is great. Vortex just entered the golf rangefinder market with the Vortex Anarch (and Blade series, but mid line) which has a red display of numbers, image stabilization, and flag lock, evidently not dependent on prisms. Furthermore, it has slope and a LIFETIME warranty. Reviews say good glass and clarity as well.
Reviews online are beyond good. Does the Golf Board have anyone that has used a Vortex Anarch? Have friends that have used one?
Feeback appreciated. This rangefinder is on the radar for sure.

"Green" is the new RED.
