I'm in charge of finding us a spot for prolly a thur-Sunday type of trip. One guy is in Nashville the rest in Austin county. Not opposed to driving somewhere decently in the middle or flying. Not looking at pebble beach type of prices though.

Right now I'm thinking Hilton head, RTJ trail, or maybe Palm Springs. Anything else worth thinking? Not worried about night life or any of that. Also thought about Mississippi somewhere. Chance for decent weather not screwing up the trip would be ideal. We did Arizona last time looking for something different now.

Big Cedar Lodge? I almost went there last year but decided on Wisconsin. Sand Valley is awesome but kind of a pain to get to if you have to convince a group.

Of the not so famous variety I've done this year Crystal Springs in NJ (1h 20min drive from LGA) was a great destination and Ballyowen was a beast. RTJ if you can stand the heat is always killer, Big Cedar and the 4 at Sand Valley are super high quality as well depending on what your spend is that have been mentioned.

Palm Springs, more specifically PGA West courses in La Quinta or if Vegas. I'd do St George Utah/Mesquite and stay away from the riff raff of Vegas.

DFW - Palm Springs is an easy nonstop flight. And everyone should experience the PS airport at least once.

Not my experience.

It has been five or six years but I thought Kiawah was a great deal, particularly compared to Sea Island.

Most of the cost difference was in lodging, but Kiawah was about half the cost of a similar Sea Island trip from the year before.

I know nothing about Sea Island. But very familiar with Pebble and Monterey golf. When I looked at Kiawah, the ocean course green fee this year was $600+. Maybe I'm wrong. I've never been. But if so, that's Pebble Beach like $$$.

You should've went. The day lockdown started, I flew into DFW. It was nice seeing the ghost airport/town.

It worked out. We chose a different resort a few months later that was so desperate for guests that their golf package included a Scotty Cameron putter.

We're doing St George UT in April. It'll be peak pricing on courses, but still a very affordable trip compared to our last two of Sand Valley and Pinehurst. Should be perfect weather and conditions at that time.

Group of 12. We've got a giant house with pool and all that for 3 nights. Going to do rounds at Wolf Creek, Sand Hollow and likely Copper Rock. Looking at about $1100 per person for housing and golf not including flights to Vegas.

St George is a good suggestion, might be a little too early, but Albuquerque is also a pretty solid and affordable trip. Not sure if Paako is open then though.

My brother, who is an avid golfer, raves about Palm Springs. We went to Pebble last March and after that, he went straight to PS.

I did Albuquerque in April once. It definitely was 4-6 weeks too early.

Their site makes it sound like only one round is included but maybe I'm just interpreting it incorrectly.

Myrtle Beach. There are a handful of travel agencies that will book a big house (slightly more) or condos (less but no shared living space) and golf - lux to discount. Done four trips and all fantastic. Caledonia and True Blue for sure. Many other great courses. Set your own budget.

RJT

Grant national, Purcell farms, captitoll hill, Ross bridge all driving distance.

Reasonable pricing. Courses were immaculate last year in late march.

We did this trip earlier this year first week of June. Courses were fantastic but we got in when the heat wave started and the afternoon rounds were blistering hot. We played Black Desert, Sand Hollow, wolf creek and conestoga. I would play copper Rock as y'all are planning on instead of conestoga. Black desert's clubhouse is now finished which it was not we were there. April will be perfect weather wise.
