29 years old and has already had a full career.

Ladies US Open qualifier at 12, made the cut at 14.

14 years as pro, 15 wins, 1 of them is a major.

Good for her.

Also, I wouldn't want to play against Nelly or Rose right now either

Good for her. She had an amazing career.


Seemed to me her swing was not going to grow old anyway. It may have already been causing physical problems.

Fun to watch her play though. Wish her the best.

That US Open a few years back was a killer and the Chevron where the fan called in was another heartbreaker. Win those 2 and she's in pretty elite company. Still a solid career.

She qualified for a US Open at 12 and made a cut at 14.

My kids are 12 and 15. I couldn't imagine them facing pressure like that.

She is already elite company. No question

She got the yips with the putter on short putts, that was a killer. She was / is a talent so its sad to see her retire so early.

She also has dealt with trolls on social media and body image issues. Probably best for her mental health she step away and enjoy life.

Crazy high expectations since age 12. Putting yips. The brutality of social media in a mental game. I can see walking away. I'd be curious how much she's pulled in from endorsements. Had a very nice $14 mill in career winnings, although once expenses, caddie fees, the IRS, self-employment taxes, and other professional support costs take their cut, she ends up with a fraction of that number.

Now that you mentioned all that, I'm wondering how much closer to the actual net it would be.

I typically generalize with 40% going to taxes, but of course there are variances with the jock tax and winning in a place like Cali versus Texas for example. Plus when you factor in everything else you said (especially the pro support), maybe 5-6M net?

Forgot to mention that in her press conference she said things I thought alluded to the Grayson situation, so I'd agree that its probably best for her mental health if she did something else.
