Heading there with buddies for a golf trip in late April and looking for some good recommendations. We're all 10-16 HCi players so don't need to have a crappy time on the Dye course at PGA West, but would love to see any recommendations on beautiful courses that are well maintained, great design, but playable for the average golfer looking to have a fun day on the course.

I've played Tahquitz Creek, both Indian Wells courses and Silverrock. Would recommend all of them.

Classic Club

PGA West Norman course isn't that hard. Straight forward and wide open. Actually stadium isn't that hard either. Dye Mountain and Nicklaus are hard, for me.

It'd be a shame to go all the way out there and not get in a PGA West course in LA Quinta.

Played Desert Willow last year in July and while it was Hot the course was in Great Shape! Pace of play got congested after hole 14 but that mostly due to them allowing 6-2 somes behind 4 4 somes. It is where they play the city Championship every year. Would definitely go back!

I typically wouldn't recommend this... but hell, not that much hotter than a hot July day in Dallas.
