I had a driver built and took it for range session today with a buddy's Rapsodo monitor. It's a Titlest TSR2 10deg that has the adjustable SureFit collar. Shaft is an LA Golf DJ 65.

My averages today were:
109 swing speed
159 ball speed
11 yards right side carry
252 carry
266 total carry
15.3 launch
147 apex
Shot shape is a fade.

Best drive of the session was 274 carry, 288 total, 107 club, 160 ball, 15.9 launch, 134 apex, 1 yard of side carry.

There were several outliers on height and launch angle. Once I found the groove with the club, I was seeing 17-18 degrees of launch angle and 165-175 apex, which is bonkers. Seems like that number should be closer to 12-14 launch with 125-130 apex.

I've never messed with adjusting a club before. I hit it well, but I feel like I'm leaving yards on the table. The club is set up in A1. I looked at Titlest's site and found this graphic. Based on what I'm seeing, I wonder if I don't need to try and D1 or C2 to see if it'll bring the launch angle and apex down some and promote more of a draw compared to the fade. Am I reading this chart right? Is it just trial and error or what?

Apex seems high. What's the ball spin rate?

No clue. The free version of the membership I was using does not track spin rate. I'm not even sure if this old model does that or not.

Spin will be probably the most important number to look at to figure out what to do. My guess is you have a high spin rate as you hit really high (147 apex) fades. 109 ball speed should also carry farther then 252 yards.

Since you have a launch monitor, put the driver at D2 and see what results you get. Work your way in until you get a better looking flight and more distance.

Did you get fit for the driver or pick it up on a good deal? I'd imagine you'd fit into more of a 9 or 8 deg driver.

I'll echo spin rate, your spin rate is probably north of 3k

Get that down to 2000-2200 and your carry should jump to 270ish with a total distance around 285.

Fit for it. I was having significant trouble with consistency, but this one edged out the cobra. I just think it's a degree too high.

C2 looks to be the way. I didn't have the monitor with me, so I'm going off eyeball only. I liked the flight better, and the fade has turned into a nice little draw that's more playable.

I did manage to hit a sky ball off the jump, so now my glossy new black driver has been besmirched. Any tips on how to get that scarlet letter off there?

I'm going to go back out this weekend with the monitor, and I'm playing on Sunday, so I'll have some better data.

Eyeball test suggests the new setting has taken about 30-40 yards off the apex, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of those balls carried 270+ with better descent angle and roll out. It was also very cool to see a little draw start rearing it's head.

At the end of the day, I just want it to go straight. Everything feels like it's clicking into place a little bit. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to set a personal best if I can minimize the amount of OB trouble I find on the course off the tee.

Shot a personal best 90 today thank to not spraying balls like crazy. And that was after blowing up the back. Was 5 over on the front.

Soft tooth brush and a small dab of toothpaste, some water. It removes most of the mark but not all. You have to be looking for it to notice.
