First time ever to swing a club - Should they go to a pro lesson or practice swinging the club and making contact before the lesson? Main 3-5 things to focus on?

Learning proper grip and stance is critical, so I'd lean toward lesson vs working on things he'd need to unlearn. That said, I'd look for small group beginner lessons vs solo
