Question for the board. With adjustable settings is puring a shaft still recommend? I assume you can only pure it on one setting say A1 but if you move to A3 you are now pured in the wrong spot correct?

Am i missing something on that process?

Shaft manufacturing technology has got better, don't think it's needed like it used to be

The reason i ask is i am lookout at a used after market shaft and he is telling me its been pured as a good thing. But if it is pured at a different setting than i use, isn't that a negative. When you change settings the shaft rotates a little causing the puring to shift off center , right?

It's not as ideal but I don't think you would notice with how good shafts are made now

99.9% of golfers won't be able to tell the difference between a pured and non-pured shaft. It's an upsell at best and a scam at worst.

A lot of the adapters swivel in the heads now rather than rely on turning the shaft, so no matter what setting it's on your shaft will still be "in line". I know my Callaway is like that.
