Veerman is the only Ag in the field that I could find. I'm a little surprised that Sam didn't get a sponsor's exemption.

Neither Palmer nor Champ are in the field, which I find mildly odd considering neither qualified for the Open next week nor the Scottish Open this week.

I know the Barbasol is one of the weaker events on tour and purse is crazy low. Does that mean OWGR and FedEx cup points are super low too? Does the winner get into the majors? Even if placing high in this event doesn't do much for you, I still don't see why those guys aren't playing this weekend at the Barbasol.

Looked into it... Sam just wanted an extra week off. I think the grind since NCAAs caught up to him and I repect that. Gives him a chance to reset and work on some strength things as well. He is confirmed to be in the Barracuda next week.

But to answer your question, winner of Barbasol gets into the Open this year and PGA Champ next year + tour memebership. But not full fedex points and only 600k winning.
