Curious how much each spends per month on just green fees

You'd think it'd be $0 since I'm a member somewhere but I usually get a round or two elsewhere. So let's say $200

Depends if you count my monthly dues…

Last year I had a surgery and couldn't play for 6 months. I told the wife I have alot of making up to do and she agreed. We also are only going to live here in Maryland for another year-ish, so I am trying to hit all of the good courses I can drive to. So I've been spending more per round.

Lately its probably been $300 month on average since I've thrown in some one offs beyond my usual play

I volunteer at my local track so the 27 holes I get in per week cost me $10 if I don't take a cart. $17 if I ride.

Counting anything that you pay as greens fees...that would include dues directly related to using the course

I am just looking for a ballpark for many of you that golf quite a bit

Same here, and she supports my efforts to make up for lost time. My guess is I've been averaging about $200 per month since October.

Tree-fiddy. Seriously tho, truly about $350. Play 2x a week and average about $45/round (most rounds are walking)

550 month in dues (green fees / carts / range) + an average of 200-300 / month at other courses I would guess. Some months it is 0 at other courses other months its 1k+ due to a trip.

depending on where you live, you're missing out! here in the south, most of my golf hits october to march!

usually 20$ for after 2:00 golf x 10 for 200$
once or twice play somewhere else for 150$

so ~435$ ish?

$60,000 down payment (divide that by 60 months, so far = $1,000 per month)
+$725 per month
Play 3-4 times a month on the road = $400ish.....sooooooo around $2,200.00 a month.

Damn....I never really did the math.

If you lose $300 per month in bets (probably because of the $150 for beer), I want to play with you.

Playing Season

Mar/Apr - Oct

$25x4 = $100 (town course)
$100x2 = $200

so $300 per month average on golf

$195 per month + $25 cart per round. Hard to walk my course. That's the baseline.

Typically play one round that I pay myself at around $80

Work pays for the others about once/week

One reason why I don't want to move up north. I think courses were shut down 2 days here in Texas this year for a freeze. Got in a couple of of 60-75 degree rounds in each of November, December, January, and February. In addition still still playing all but 1-2 weekends during that stretch even when it's colder than I like

Not sure I really want to add it up. My username checks out, so while I have a home course in CO, $2200/5 months, I probably average $3-600/ month the rest of the year, traveling and on layovers. I've got a travel Sunday bag that holds 8 clubs and today's course is in Anchorage. Play a lot of muni's and Tin Cup quality tracks as well as some around the world. I play around 100 rounds a year.

I'm on call all night, so if no call by noon, tee time is 1. When I'm working. They send me out, and the travel bag goes about half the time. Rentals everywhere add up.

I live in Texas I hunt hard those months and usually in a tree in October or still chasing cold front dove. Then November is from STex to S dakota hunting. Back to hunting ducks in Texas all Dec amd January February is ski season for me plus it's too cold and I'm too poor to play golf March usually fishing until early April.

I'm planning on being at Firekeeper in late July.

I didn't mean to infer that I lose all the bets. The bets are more like $500 and -$300 is
the worst it has ever been so that is baseline budget.

But Texas weather sucks 7-8 months of the year. And you can't ski in the bad weather months.

Ski board is somewhere else. 12 months of golf is better. Get a few extra gloves and a portable fan and swing away
