I always get sucked into several, but mine is probably "The Greatest Game Ever Played", telling the Francis Ouimet US open story.

Also get sucked in to these whenever they are on:
-Caddyshack
-Tin Cup
-Legend of Bagger Vance
-Happy Gilmore

Tommy's Honour!

Ol' Tommy Morris golfs so hard that it becomes life and he literally freezes to death while playing the sport.

Sports movies are hard to do well. Caddyshack is probably my favorite golf movie, but I gotta be honest, it really doesn't hold up all that well. I think it benefits from "it's cool to like Caddyshack". But most everything else sucks enough to still be behind it.

Baseball has Major League and Field of Dreams. Basketball has Hoosiers. Boxing has Rocky. At least in my book, neither football or golf have anything close to those.

I've seen Caddyshack I don't know how many times ans still laugh just as hard today as the first time I ever saw it.

These really are the only five golf movies worth watching. Greatest Game Ever Played is my favorite too. It's a great story and Paxton did a good job telling it in a film despite some embellishments.

If you read golf books, The Match, written by the same author of Greatest Game Ever Played is an awesome read.

It's really unfortunate that Golf in the Kingdom is such a terrible movie. Especially since the book is really great.
