Does anyone have a recommendation for one that will not break the bank? This will be for a make-shift practice range on my concrete back porch. It will only be outside when in use and not permanent. The CC elite has good reviews but was hoping to spend a bit less than $599 for a 5 x 5.

Thanks for responding. I saw a question on the site was asked but not answered - how much do you think it weighs as I will be moving in and out?

EDIT:
Actually, upon further review, I think I'm going to try and stick to a 5 x 5 as it will fit perfectly with what I'm intending. Thanks again for the offer. Perhaps someone else here will take it off your hands at a fair price.

I highly endorse fiberbuit. That base is made up of 2x2 sections that hook together. So it's heavy but not hard to move since you do it in pieces.

Don't cheap out on mats. Your elbows will thank you.

Can the fiberbuilt mat be left outside 24/7? Or it it supposed to be stored indoors?

Mine has been outdoors since March 2020 and is still in essentially perfect condition. Mine is a little different than the one above, I have the brush-like hitting strip. Expensive but really well made, easy on the elbows, realistic on fat shots, etc.

It stays on the uncovered portion of my patio - partly for space reasons and partly because I didn't want "indoor swing" which can be a sim phenomenon.

Thanks. I was looking at some options a couple months ago but never pulled the trigger. Likely will in the next month or so.

I think I was looking at country club elite and fiberbuilt options before. The house we moved into last year had an old mat outside, so I've been using that. But it's about time to replace it.

I have flight deck line from Fiberbuilt. It has give unlike any others I've had. Made the switch when I started getting pains from hitting on the mats so much

I used two sizes of cheap area carpet mats from Big Lots and Lowes and they work fine. Placed it over other carpet in my exercise room which gave it more padding. Set up some mirrors and use it for practice swinging. No hitting of balls.

I use 5 Star Golf Commercial Mat 6x5. Typical of what you'd see at a driving range. It's heavy duty and heavily foamed but I could use something softer and more realistic to turf.

JJ,

I am curious which direction you went for your sim room. I recently finished my sim room and am using the Fiberbuilt mat you referenced, but thinking I want something with a hitting strip that offers more realistic down and through with irons.

I've had good luck with the BirdieBall outdoor putting mat. Built well enough to hit irons off of it
