Taking a trip down south in a few weeks and looking for recommendations for courses to play in Corpus, Port A, Rockport or the surrounding areas.

If anyone has any recommendations let me know.

Palmilla is a really nice 9 hole course in Port A and a few holes have a view of the beach. Nice restaurant bar and walking distance to the beach when you're done.

You can also try and get on at Rockport CC or north shore CC for more beachy vibes. Or river Hills in calallen. I know the super is here on texags.

Muni courses are ok not great and super busy and backed up for the most part.

Unfortunately corpus CC is closed right now for renovation. Good luck have fun. Weathers been great this week.

Palmilla. Easy nine holes then can head straight to the beach afterwards for beers.

RIP to the full 18 hole Palmilla course. Used to be one of my favorites.

I can't even count how many beers I've consumed at Oso while hacking it around back in the day. Could have sworn we called it Oso Bay

Went back and played after they cut it to 9 holes and they took out the hole I made my one and only ace on

#2 or #6?

#5 was one of my favorite par 5's on any course that i've played. #9 was a great par 5 too. Both super tough holes.

Yeah maybe it's oso bay! It wouldn't surprise me to see them get 9 more holes out a PA with all the money coming in there

They have already started developing the land at Palmilla. Don't think they will add more holes.

Its definitely Oso Beach Golf Course. Oso Bay is the bay right down the road.

I doubt Port A puts in another 9 holes, theyre using all that real estate for the exploding housing market.

Yeah, that close to town is too pricey for houses/condos/hotels. No way they turn it into more golf.

Playing Palmilla this weekend with my son for his 13th birthday. Tee times at 9 AM on Saturday and Sunday. It will be my second time playing there. Really enjoyed it my first time and excited to get back on the course and spend some good time w/my son.

Played Palmilla this morning. Had a great time. Such a fun course. My son nearly had an ace at #4. I shot 78 (par is 64).
