Do y'all own and have any feedback on portable launch monitors? I'm looking to purchase one. I'm currently in between the Rapsodo and the PRGR. TIA.

I'm in the market for one as well - could you link the two you're looking at?

I liked the Rapsado but use an Android so I settled on the Swing Caddie 300i.

I used it a lot to begin with now, I'll break it out occasionally on the range to ensure my distances are still similar to what I was hitting.

GC Quad is portable.

Assuming range balls aren't the best, do these show numbers similar to on the course or are they showing actual numbers for the range balls?

I've looked at getting one but I don't need to know that a bad range ball flew 150 when that swing on the course would have been 170.

Apparently. Back ordered till April or May.

I also have a Rapsodo. The numbers look accurate and you can use it with a net or out on the course if you want to get data from your personal golf balls.

Anyone have any updates or new thoughts on the PRGR or the Rapsodo?

I have the garmin and I'm not completely sold on it. It's hard to get it aligned perfectly for shot tracking and the crappy range balls are significantly shorter than the balls I use on the course. I also think the range balls go further than it calculates base on ranging the markers. It says my 7 iron is ~140yds. It's 170+ on the course. I haven't set it up on the tee box to see what it measures.

I think they're still going for 2 grand new and it's practically brand new. I'd go 1750 and include 2 dozen prov RCT balls that have the metallic tracking built in so you don't have to use the metal dots.

I have a 12 year old daughter that plays competitively and would like to get a launch monitor that can grow with her. I dont have the space or ceiling height to use indoor, so this would be something I can take to the range. Based on limited research the Mevo or Mevo+ seems to fit the bill. Big difference in price, $500 and $2000, but as I mentioned I want something that can grow with her so Mevo+ seems the better option. With the Mevo+ have the option of adding the pro pack later for more data. Besides the Mevo's any other suggestions for my set of circumstances? Also, I see some good deals on these on Ebay, I have reservations about buying off Ebay, anything to be aware of?

I got the Mevo for $380 a few weeks ago. It was $100 off for labor day and then another $20 off with a "CART5" promo code.

I'm not sure what to think of it yet. On one hand it's pretty awesome but I'm having times where it fails to get a read on a shot more often than I find acceptable. It may be user error at this point. When it does get a read it records your shot in real time or slow motion with the app on your phone so it's cool to see what my swing looks like on a good shot compared to the guys I am trying to swing like.

I'm curious what the report back will be on the PRGR as that is a lower price point than the Mevo. I have also noticed that the Mevo's go on sale after every major golf event or holiday, they will usually drop the price about $200-$300, at least for the Mevo+ so I would expect it to go on sale during and immediately after the Ryder Cup, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $1799-$1899. I'm very curious to know if anyone has the Mevo+ with the Pro pack as that is supposed to use "fusion technology" a combination of doppler radar and high speed camera, supposed to increase accuracy. Way too much data for a 12 year old on a Mevo+ Pro Pack and even just the standard Mevo+, but it would certainly grow with her through high school and beyond.

I've got a buddy who's had the mevo+ pro pack for a month. He swears by it now and says it's as close to a track man he's seen at the price point. Maybe true, I haven't tried it myself. RCT balls seems to help
