Anybody in San Antonio area want to go play Lajitas on Saturday? I am leaving San Antonio area around 6am, tee time is 1, and am driving back after I play. Will be a long day, but I'm tired of this weather and want to play some golf! Temp is 73 there tomorrow. 979-777-6289 if you are interested

If I lived in SA I'd be all over this. I applaud the random F this crap and making a long drive to go play golf.

I hope you post an update when you get home sunday morning. I'm from Fort Stockton so I've made plenty of drives in my time but this is probably a 900 mile round trip with a round of golf sandwiched in.

I'm gonna recommend a ****load of caffeine. No joke though, no shame in pulling into a hotel on the way home. Seems like a formula for dozing off at the wheel

I live in Bulverde and it's a 6.5-7 hr drive. Leave at 6, there by 1:30, latest.

I have a tendency to fall asleep at the wheel, esp after a day of golf. I would never do this.
I once did a 36 hole qualifier in Dallas and had to get a hotel in waco i was so tired getting back to austin. Near death experience.

Well I just got back. Awesome course! I left at 5:30, got there at 11:30, warmed up for 30 min, played in 4ish hrs, got back home to spring branch at 10:15. Great day! Now for cool part!! I walk into the pro shop and a guy asks me if I was Wally? I smiled and said yeah that's me! He said well your round is on us!! And you get $100 to spend in the pro shop!! I was like whaaaattt!?! He said the superintendent is an Aggie and he saw my post and told him if that guy is going to drive all that way and play and go back then his round is free!! I couldn't believe it, it was awesome!! Here is a couple pics I tried to take. Will def be going back, so much fun!

That's sweet! I contemplated that a few times (not to Lajitas) in the past when I took a day off and bad weather surrounded C.S. Unfortunately during those days I couldn't find anything close enough that I thought was worth it.
