A buddy and I are looking for a early tee time July 10 before Yankees Astros. I'll be staying downtown and he will be in Katy. Any recommendations?

How is a course a rip-off if it stays packed? I think someone got their feelings hurt over the price increase and they like to throw a little tantrum on this forum.

I don't disagree with you for the most part but I don't think Houston has a very good public golf scene.
Gus and Memorial are great munis but after that there's very few options for quality public golf. Cypresswood Traditions, GC of Houston, and Cinco Ranch are really about it as far as decent value golf.
Yeah you've got Blackhorse and Wildcat but they're way overpriced l. Then it's the kinda goat ranch type course like Jersey Meadows, Longwood, Timber Creek.
I think overall for a city as large as it is the public golf is lacking in quality and high value public golf. Now if you go out and include Wilderness, Moody, Eagle Point, and some of the outer course then it gets better.
