Can that guy's voice be any more annoying?
I mute the tv when it comes on.

I have the Prototype driver, and I love it.KatyAg01 said:

Ok, he didn't say that, but you could imagine how he might. And I say this as someone who has a prior generation fairway club on order.

Saw him on Feherty one time.... he's eccentric and obnoxious, but he's a veteran and a big-time supporter of our troops. So he can do whatever TF he wants, IMO.
edit.... and he earned a Purple Heart.

Being a veteran is cool, but doesn't give anyone a hall pass to be an *******.

I got to hit a driver and a set of irons. They were good, but not better than what I had. I'm still not seeing why the paying golfer would pay the premium price other than as a status symbol.
Hardly a status symbol, the discounts make them very affordable.aggiedent said:

Disagree, as does nearly every PGA Tour pro. Thats why the very few that had playing them have mostly defected.CyclingAg82 said:

i think that's what throws me off. if you make a high-quality product worthy of a premium price, why market it like it's something that "if you call now, we'll double your order!"?CyclingAg82 said:

PGA pros can be a poor example as many guys follow the money. Top amateur bags are an interesting comparison to pro bags. The Milkman said:Disagree, as does nearly every PGA Tour pro. Thats why the very few that had playing them have mostly defected.CyclingAg82 said:

I have never seen them marketed like this......jackie childs said:i think that's what throws me off. if you make a high-quality product worthy of a premium price, why market it like it's something that "if you call now, we'll double your order!"?CyclingAg82 said:

Some do switch, and are handsomely rewarded like Rose by Honma, then he got out of his contract. At that level of skill - tiny aspects really matter.aggiedent said:
It seems to me that many professionals who switch companies, seem to struggle, especially with iron play.
Like Zach Johnson. His wedge- short iron numbers went from top 10 to in the 70's after switching to PXG. Or Rose switching to Honma. Didn't work.
There are exceptions. Gary Woodland switching to Wilson Staff worked brilliantly for him.
She did say the PXG irons are the best she's played with.....so there's that.Willy Wonka said:
I dunno, guys. If they're not good enough for Paige Spirinac...
