Can that guy's voice be any more annoying?

I mute the tv when it comes on.

He still sounds better than Eduardo Perez calling ball games.

Voice might be annoying but the clubs they make are excellent.

Saw him on Feherty one time.... he's eccentric and obnoxious, but he's a veteran and a big-time supporter of our troops. So he can do whatever TF he wants, IMO.

edit.... and he earned a Purple Heart.

"EITHER YOUR CLUBS ARE SO SEXY THAT ALL OF YOUR JEALOUS COMPETITORS CALL YOU A *****, OR IT ISN'T PXG!!!'

Ok, he didn't say that, but you could imagine how he might. And I say this as someone who has a prior generation fairway club on order.

I have the Prototype driver, and I love it.

Feel, sound and distance......gave my TM Sim to my 15 year old son.

My PXG journey started with the Bat Attack putter.

When they put on the big sale, I bought the hybrid 19 degree......with the discounts it's not a hard decision.

I loved the feel and sound of the Hybrid, and that convinced me to order the driver.

Bob Parsons is the founder of Go Daddy so you see that influence in the marketing of the PXG brand, IMO.

But he is dedicated to producing awesome clubs, and I am saving my pennies to buy the irons. It is either those or the Titliest T200s.

I got to hit a driver and a set of irons. They were good, but not better than what I had. I'm still not seeing why the paying golfer would pay the premium price other than as a status symbol.

Being a veteran is cool, but doesn't give anyone a hall pass to be an *******.

Hardly a status symbol, the discounts make them very affordable.

Like I said, feel, sound is very personal......I like these clubs.

Disagree, as does nearly every PGA Tour pro. Thats why the very few that had playing them have mostly defected.

i think that's what throws me off. if you make a high-quality product worthy of a premium price, why market it like it's something that "if you call now, we'll double your order!"?

edit: and I've never hit them, so I have not idea if they're worth the money or not

It seems to me that many professionals who switch companies, seem to struggle, especially with iron play.

Like Zach Johnson. His wedge- short iron numbers went from top 10 to in the 70's after switching to PXG. Or Rose switching to Honma. Didn't work.

There are exceptions. Gary Woodland switching to Wilson Staff worked brilliantly for him.

PGA pros can be a poor example as many guys follow the money. Top amateur bags are an interesting comparison to pro bags.

Feel and sound are very personal and are an important part of choosing any club I buy.

But.........at the end of the day........so are the numbers. Distance, spin, dispersion, angle of descent, etc.

My only experience is hitting a co-worker's 8 iron at a charity tournament. I hit 10 balls with it. Best feeling iron I have ever hit. I don't play enough to spend that kind of $$$

Good lord as much as I love staring at her cleav I was just reminded why I don't want to hear her talk. I made it about halfway through that rambling, incoherent video that was never close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

It also annoys me how she tries to act as both part of the serious golf community as well as the instagram influencer world. You can't be both

All the clubs makers do a good job today. PXG are just too expensive when a set of Mizunos are great as far as I am concerned. I have played with Taylor Made, Pings, and Titleist are good also.

It really is the player and shaft selection and shafts that are matched.

I have never seen them marketed like this......

The pandemic has changed a lot of company approaches to sales.

Some do switch, and are handsomely rewarded like Rose by Honma, then he got out of his contract. At that level of skill - tiny aspects really matter.

The interesting one to me is Koepka, I don't believe he has a club deal. He wants the freedom to pick and choose what suits him and his game. He was swinging TM Driver last year, and this year he is swinging Callaway Mavrick Driver, at least that is what it looked like when they showed him teeing off.

Had not heard that about Zach, but he is in his forties and that is when the normal decline begins. Can't be solely attributable to clubs. I don't know....

She did say the PXG irons are the best she's played with.....so there's that.

dumb question for a novice golfer (i currently use 20 year old clubs that i picked up at play again sports in college station).

i can get the military discount on these clubs, which seems pretty hefty. the pxg 0211 irons are 99/club. are these worth it if i start playing a couple of times per month? or is that money better used for lessons?

loaded question, i think.
powerbelly
How long do you want to ignore this user?
IMO money is better spent on lessons.

You can also pick up clubs that are just as good for far less than $99/club.
