Is anyone here a member at the Four Seasons in Los Colinas? I am considering joining, but am having trouble convincing any of my normal golf group to join with me. I got some information on cost and it is a surprisingly good deal in my opinion for what you get relative to other "mid-tier" clubs in the Dallas area.

For any who are members, is traffic a big pain to get to and from downtown Dallas? How is the golf/social scene for someone mid-30s with no kids and a 13 handicap? Do you have a hard time getting morning tee times on the weekend on either course?

Not a member. Second hand info.

I'm a member at Hackberry, right next door but I know several members at 4 seasons. Word is it was great about a year ago but Then 100+ member left LCCC to join 4 seasons. Then LCCC in an attempt to gain memberships decided to renovate their course. This drove more members to the 4 seasons as it's been nearly two years since LCCC was up and running. Tee times are not as exclusive and you're still dealing with the public and hotel guests.

This is very accurate information.

A large group of LCCC members negotiated a discount entry fee and made the move ... almost 100 members. That has made tee times tougher to get.

I am golf member at 4S. While a group of members from LCCC did come over, the size and impact is a little exaggerated. I never have a difficult time getting tee times, even on the weekend. The vast majority of time I have no difficulty simply walking up to one of the two courses and getting on.

The list of positives are long. TWO really good courses. Excellent practice facilities and staff. Golf membership has a lot of great people. Tennis is pretty good with 4 excellent indoor courts and bunch of outdoor courts. The fitness facility is absolutely one of the best in DFW. Precovid happy hours were a lot of fun.

The negatives are; resort guests are allowed to play on the TPC course so you have people playing that course with no care, meaning they are less rabid about repairing ball marks etc. Since covid, there is almost no resort traffic so both course are in simply amazing shape. To me the biggest negative is the occasional corporate outing when one golf course is booked up. I felt like this happened more than it should have a couple of years ago but in reality it wasn't too often. The other negative is the member's lounge is pretty pedestrian.

All in all, I agree with you that for golf purposes it's far and away the best deal. It certainly does not have the networking legacy of a DCC or Brookhollow, if that is a consideration.

I live in Bluffview and drive there almost every day. Traffic never a problem.

If you would like to discuss it more PM me. Also, if you do join I would greatly appreciate being your "sponsor" as the benefit to a member is significant.

Thanks for the input! And corporate outings are terrible at ClubCorp. Granted they're always on Monday when we're closed but drunk scrambles are not conducive to great course conditions.
