Heading up to the Austin area this weekend and I'm debating whether to play Wolfdancer on the drive in Friday or Falconhead on Sunday. I've never played Wolfdancer and Falconhead was kind of my home course when I lived in Austin but I haven't played it in probably 5-6 years. Any suggestions? Playing two rounds at Vaaler on Saturday. Never played Falconhead. Only heard good things and you're familiar with it.

Played Wolf Dancer a few times. Big time golf course. Front 9 is one of the more difficult 9 holes I've ever played. Back 9 is a little more tame. If I were you, and I'd never played Wolfdancer, I'd play there... but I like playing new/different golf courses.

Edit to say: one really neat thing about Wolfdancer is the total lack of houses on the golf course.

I would pick wolfdancer every time.

Wolfdancer is just a great Texas golf course. Lot's of natural rock, hills, great trees and tons of wildlife. My son and I drove the course and played a few from 150 in at the end of the summer and we saw armadillos, quail, roadrunners, deer, ground squirrels, rabbits.

Agree with the posters. Falconhead is a good course, but Wolfdancer is better

Falconhead is my home course, but if you are choosing one, play Wolfdancer. I would check on green conditions though as there is nothing more that I hate than getting to a course I have heard great things about and seeing pinched or sanded greens.

To that, falconheads greens right now are awesome and they just installed TopTracer on the range, and you just download the app on your phone and you're set to get top tracer data as you hit range balls.
