As noted on Austin Amateur Golf:

Quote:

This past week Bluebonnet Hill GC ownership announced they would have to close the course at the end of the year because their water contract with the City of Austin going to expire and The City is not working with BHCC to get a new contract in place. Please sign and share the petition which we plan to send to the City of Austin and Water Department.

I played hundreds of rounds on this course when I was young and broke. Austin is so woke that people are living in the streets and the City won't do anything to keep golf affordable for the masses. I expect them to kill Lions off sooner or later, God knows they keep trying.

I hate what the city has become.

And yes, I signed the petition, although I doubt it will do any good. Austin City Council doesn't care about this, they care about their new soccer team.

Couldn't agree more. Austin/Round Rock is my hometown and I would never live there again, no matter how much I loved it growing up

Just stay away from Belton/Temple.

Leave us alone.

Can they suck it out of Decker lake or is that part of the Austin water deal?

Grew up in Elgin so this was our home course along with Manor. Love those rock hard fairways and heavy wind.

What's the course out Manor? Shadowglen? That was a fun track.

I grew up in Georgetown, but Bluebonnet was a favorite of ours to play.

Shadowglen was built a year after I graduated. It's a solid course when I'm good shape.
