How long do you want to ignore this user?
Am relocating from Houston to San Antonio next month and would like to find and join a nice club. Have done some basic research on the web, but would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance guys...

Sonterra is the best place in SA

Thanks guys. Looking for a home within a 45 min commute of the airport area. Sonterra looks nice. Initiation of @10K and 400 monthly dues? I've reached out to their membership director to see if I can tour and play a round.

I hear really good things about Briggs Ranch as well. Wonder if its out of my price range... Ill try and play it soon and add it to the check out list.

I believe Briggs Ranch is pretty pricey. It is also a little bit south compared to most of the other nice courses

you should enjoy the 'prospective new member' role for a while.

all these plays are hurting for members. especially this time of year.

play them all... they're not in san Antonio, but i'd recommend boot and cordillera as places to play as a prospective member....

Fair Oaks is inexpensive, laid back and offers 36 holes. Good shape.

Dominion is great and can be had fairly during a membership drive. Some influential folks, money games and you'll see George Strait regularly.

Cordillera is nice but expensive and a ways out of town.

TPC is cool but I'm not a huge fan of the club or range. And I believe it's hella expensive.

Oak Hills course is awesome. Don't remember much about the club or cost.

Awesome feedback guys, really appreciate it. Definitely going to get around and get a sense of the clubs. Quick question; I'm a bit of a range rat, does any of the listed have an advantage in practice facilities?

Out of the clubs listed, Fair Oaks is easily the best value -- especially if you have children. Just my two cents.

Since club corp took over Fair Oaks, the courses have been in better shape than Dominion, Sonterra, and Oak Hills. And I play all of those fairly regularly.

If I had money to throw around and wanted to live off 281, I'd look seriously at TPC. It boasts the best layouts and conditions you'll find in San Antonio.

BTW, PM me if you are considering Fair Oaks.

it just all depends on where you live and how far you want to drive
oak hills practice facility is not nice at all

the best would be TPC SA - easy
