I used to play an old course with my dad out near Tomball.

I can't find it on any maps however. We'd get there by driving up Perry Road to what used to be called 149 (now 249/Tomball Pkwy). We turn North and head a few miles towards Tomball, then turn left (WSW) go down a 2-lane road to the course.

I can't remember the name and their is nothing on the map resembling an old golf course out there so I'm thinking it was built over.

EDIT: Don't think it was Longwood. We would not take that route from our old house to get to Longwood.

Don't remember when it closed, but it I think it was still there when I graduated high school in 97. Probably didn't make it much past that.

It's a neighborhood now. There are golf balls in the sidewalks in some places. Good friend of mine lives there.

That's where my FIL played the morning I proposed to my wife, so July 2005 it was still there. Not sure when it closed.
