I found this ball in my yard. It is the size of a golf ball, smooth, and weighted like a billiard ball. No logo or insignia, just the serial type number with a sticker on the front. Several colored marks on the ball.

It kind of looks like a Caesar Featherie Dimple-less Golf Ball, but, again, it does not have logo. Any ideas?

Lacrosse balls are larger than golf balls and made of rubber.

Thanks for the reply. Lacrosse balls are rubber, correct? This feels exactly like an approximately 1.5 inch cue ball.

I would guess bocce ball jack (small ball thrown first)

In Bocce an additional ball called the "jack" or "pallino" is used. This ball is about the size of a golf ball, approximately 38 millimeters (1.5 inches) in diameter.

Quite possible. What is the serial number for?

Bocce ball -- simply judging by the smudges of other colored balls hitting it.

Serial number -- who knows?
