Now that spring is rolling around, I'm trying to get my golf cart (Club Car Precedent '08) back up and running. It still has the original batteries in it, so it's probably about time time they are replaced. The big problem, however, is that the cart will not move at all. The batteries will still take a charge, the reverse buzzer comes on, etc., but when you hit the gas, nothing.
I took it into the shop to see what the damage was. He said the the batteries definitely need to be changed, and that the MCOR most likely needs to be replaced. He said he wouldn't know for sure what needed to be done with the MCOR until all the batteries are replaced ($200 a piece + tax + labor x4). Then if the MCOR did need to be replaced, that could be as much as $500. So I'm looking at ~$1300 for him to fix me up.
If I can find a replacement MCOR and some cheaper batteries, I'm more than willing to tackle this project myself and save some money.
Has anyone here ever had a similar problem with a MCOR or replaced one? Where is the best place to buy golf cart batteries?
