I just cannot imagine wanting to wear a pair of boots to play golf, especially with the heat we get. Nor can i justify spending that kind of $$$ on a pair of golf shoes, but then again some of the more traditional golf shoes they are making actually look pretty sharp... Interesting to see a company like Justin that has been very successful in the boot/western footwear industry make the jump over to the golf world. It is to be expected from the athletic shoe brands (nike, UA, adidas, etc), but Justin? Any of you guys tried these out? I mean price on some of these things make what I would consider to be expensive shoes look cheap.

Think I saw a pair of these at the old LaJet Classic in Abilene back in the day...

a few of the regulars at Boot Ranch wear these...hats, garb, and all...and they have the game to back it up, too

This is to accommodate the rednecks who wear jeans on the golf course. And since I think denim should not be allowed on ANY golf course I'll throw these into that same category.

I wear jeans with my polo tucked in and white footjoys. Love it. Only way to play.

I don't really ever wear jeans to play golf but couldn't care less if someone else does. I get "no cutoffs" but the no jeans rule seems odd for a place that allows people to wear shorts.

I used to be a member at a place in Denver that had a no jeans rule, and if you showed up in jeans they had a loaner pair of wind pants you could put on over your jeans. In what mind are wind pants more formal attire than blue jeans? Very strange.

My concern about the golf boots is that it has to be pretty damaging to the greens.

Anyone who drops 8 hunion on a pair of boots with golf spikes is probably not a redneck. Unless he spent the dough on that instead of getting his teeth fixed.

I played The Falls in New Ulm back in the early 1990's and a guy that played through us had on shorts and custom made boots with golf spikes. Golf boots. Met him in the bar, turned out to be one hell of a character.

Falls guy: He was a friend of mine from Industry. Died about 15 years ago. Gaylon had them custom made out of a pair of black Justin's (metal spike days) just to get people to laugh and talk. He was that kind of unique man.

the shoes look like the custom made gators that phil wears on tour....only his supposedly cost low 5 figures per pair to have made.

Yes, Gaylon A. He was in the Telecom industry. After the bar at the Falls he called up his wife and said "put out a spread" and invited us back to his place. Funny guy, very nice.

That was Gaylon. I came down and played at Falls with him a few times. I knew when I saw post there was only one person it could be.........

I could tell lots of stories about nights in Vegas or to horse tracks in Chicago. Not many on earth like him.

you pretty much have to be straight "boss" to rock those especially if done while wearing shorts.

Most golf shoes are like tennis shoes in that they distribute weight across the whole sole. I would think those hard heels would mark the green.

Boots are retarded because they are made for other uses, not golf. I will absolutely think you are a complete idiot after I see you out on the course wearing boots on the course. Some Businessmen wear really nice boots with suits, some wear wing tips, is one wrong? NO. You can wear both.

To try and say that you can't wear boots because you just can't is short sided. Just because you wouldn't doesn't make it stupid or wrong. All you are seeing is the top of the footwear, you could probably play an entire round with someone wearing golf boots and not realize it.
