For those that have played there recently, what is the course condition (i.e. fairways and greens)?

Last time I was out there (2 years ago), the greens were horrible.

What about the pace of play, a year ago it took longer than 5 hours to play a round on the weekend

Greatwood used to be a great value play. 2-3 years ago we would play every Friday twilight for $30. Since then it's slipped and last year it was underwhelming and not worth the $45 I spent.

Greens were bad, fairways were spotty, and overall maintenance was lacking. Vowed to stay away until I heard first hand it had climbed back.

If you looking out that way look at Quail Valley in Missouri City. I've heard nothing but good reviews for the two courses they have out there.

If you don't expect much then you may have some fun. The greens are ok but it's my last option. I'll play Quail Valley El Dorado, QV La Quinta, Sienna Plantation, then Greatwood.

We played Sienna Plantation last week. It was in good shape.
