Potentially moving to Cinco Ranch soon, looking at clubs in the area. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? Most interested in

From what I've read on here I'm going to leave Cinco off the list and I don't really want to pony up $20k for Houstonian right now. Am I missing any I should be considering? Really interested in what anyone has to say about Meadowbrook, I know it's semi-private but is it still working joining?

Ive played all 3 and Meadowbrook is by far my favorite course out of all 3. Willow Fork is a pretty non-interesting layout (not bad at all, just nothing special), and Falcon Point is way too tricked out of a layout for it's own good I thought. I think despite it being public, it's still the best option of the 3 and the one I would look to join if I lived out there in East San Antonio.

Why are your leaving out Cinco?

I'm partial to Falcon Point because I worked there at the course one summer, but it's always kept up real nice and the greens are bent grass. Water in play on 17 of 18 holes though.

I've only played Meadowbrook once, but from what I remember it was also very nice.

Falcon Point is also part of Club Corp, so there are some added benefits to joining there.

Well its been over a decade since I was there, so that's probably true

Falcon Point is always in great shape...do not have bentgrass anymore....champion bermuda. Can be a very tough test, especially when the wind blows. Par 5's are jacked up design. Would be a good place to be a member.

Willow fork is usually good shape and has an ok mix of holes. has a great clubhouse, tennis facilities, mens locker room, etc...lots of value

Meadowbrook use to be the place to play...great design! They are still asking top dollar for daily rates and membership....but course conditions have steadily declined. very weedy, fertility cuts, grass clippings everywhere, bunkers are a joke. dont get me wrong, the place is not bad...I just really have high expectations for a place that charges $90 and the huge number on memberships.

Have you thought about Weston Lakes? might be a good option...a bit more of a drive though

Cinco Ranch is opening at the end of July and have redone many bunkers and are putting mini-verde greens in.

Where are you guys getting your Cinco info? Interested to check it out.

They are re-opening on the 15th. I've been up there just about everyday and the flyers are everywhere.

I walked around Cinco the other day. The grass is alot better.
