per Southwest Sports report. Said he might be interested in the new GM job for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

I'm not sure why he would do this. He always talks about how the teaching part is his favorite. Wonder how much money they are trying to throw at him.

He's 66, and he probably won't get another offer in the big leagues before he retires. I'd hate to see him go, but if this is real and he has wanted to coach MLB, I think he should take the opportunity.

With all of the hoopla surrounding minorities not having GM jobs in MLB, the D-backs are going to hire a 66 year old white guy who's only playing time was a few years in the minors and allow him to start near the top of the food chain.

uhhh, Stupendous Man...that 66 year-old "white" guy's last name is GARRIDO.

On-field qualifications notwithstanding, I think he would easily fit MLB's minority hiring wishes.
