Some of you who know the court room very well tell me how long I can expect to sit there. I got a ticket for running a stop sign and supposed to be there at 1:00. What is the wait?

Depends on the county but if it is in any mid to large size county it will probably involve some sitting. Bring a book. Also bring cash if your plan is to pay the ticket or the dismissal fee for defensive driving (most courts won't take (edit)checks).

Edit, obviously I meant most courts won't take checks; they will take cash.

yep..depends on the county. I wouldn't make any plans until after 3:30 if I were you.

Well I waited for 3 hours before I got to see the judge. I tried to put on a pitiful face and explain my story(I was innocent you know). He cut me off about mid story and basically told me I was paying. I now hate the city of Grapevine. $100 later and signing up for Driver's Ed was the final verdict.

Here is a bit of valuable legal advice the next time you find yourself in this situation.

Stop running stop signs.

Such wonderful advice. My Drivers Ed teacher tells me the same thing.

You should be more careful...running stop signs on the John Deere could really cause a nasty traffic jam.
