All joking aside, I give credit where it's do. He's on a good run and I think he'll be a great closer.

I'll tell you this. He was not a very good high school player, so whomever changed his arm angle in college deserves a raise, promotion and 75% of Huston's contract. He's pretty phenomenal.

Harold Reynolds interviewed Teagarden at the CWS and asked him about the differences between Street and Cox. He said that Street was so good because every single pitch was at the knees are lower. He never missed up in the zone. Cox has better stuff, but also has a tendency to miss in bad locations.

rivera is the best closer. i'd also take billy wagner over lidge.

I think Rivera has won some rings, don't think Lidge has any (Yet).

Excluding his current injury Eric Gagne (Dodgers) is the best closer in baseball.

BOM - I like Huston Street a lot, but right now, Lidge is lights out. He gave up some runs early in the year, but he is dominating now. He has more devastating speed and stuff than Street. Huston also has 4 blown saves in a short amount of time. Lidge may not have that many all year.

Huh? 2 of Streets 4 Blown Saves this season came before June. Lidge has 3 on the year.

I think both are fine relievers. Let's also remember Street hasn't even spent a full season in the bigs and getting the job done right away.
