Of course with the two best football programs, the only time the overall quality of play in the BigXII is not on par with the SEC is when Georgia plays Bama.

New Mexico State not only beat Auburn, they humiliated them silly. SEC's reputation is circling down the drain.

If the SEC continues to do well in the playoff its reputation is fine. If not, not. So far that hasn't been an issue.

Yeah, we had that in 2012 also winning at Bama. It isn't as cool as it seems when you still don't play for the title.

It was good to quiet the doubters for a few weeks, but we're going for that Big 12 title to bookend the first one.
After that, we'll need some luck in the playoffs.

If that 26-16 rout of Iowa State did not silence the doubters, nothing will!
And if that isn't enough, let us look at the one team that edged out Texas this year: ZeroU.
They escaped a "tough" BYU squad in Provo-stan.

Pro hint: do not schedule New Mexico State while in the SEC.

To get a 4-way tie for 1st: Tech beat Texas, OU over TCU, OkSU over BYU, KSU over ISU. (4 teams with two losses)

Tech over Texas --
TCU beat OU, BYU beat, OkSU, ISU beat KSU, WVa over Baylor.

Texas clinches #1 seed with 2 losses.
OkSU, OU, KSU, WVa, ISU, Tech all tied for 2nd with 3 losses.



I think that next year's SEC championship game will have several ties since no divisions are involved, and really, I just hope for that type of chaos.

Look you don't just walk into Ames and claim a victory, you have to fight what is obviously one of the best defenses in the nation. Not to mention their vaunted rushing attack that the mighty mighty whorns held to six, yes just six yards total. That is Arkansas type stout ala the 2014 Texas Bowl!

Now you go into some kind of old fart knocker analysis....about a team you have NEVER beaten.

Goodness gracious. You take Texas and OU out of the conference and the Big 12 is on life support for national attention. Clearly tier 2 if not 3.
