To #8? He needs a monster year. Dude has only thrown 15 touch downs in his career.

He's leading a very young team which doesn't contribute to his QBR ranking, but like all Horn QBs, is better than anyone else out there, including Mahomes.

When the film has a huge advertising budget, it's probably not very good.

There's always a guy or two that get taken way high off physical tools. Just look at Anthony Richardson. Pretty sure he had a losing record and a 55% completion % at Florida.

Ewers is physically talented. All hatred for Texas aside, I am genuinely curious to see if it clicks for him this year.

Having a RB like Bijan will usually bring the best out of a QB. Having Ricky made Applewhite look like an allstar.
It takes so much pressure off the qb. and yet QE was so-so last year when he got healthy. now Bijan gone. We got some guys. we'll see..

If Kellen Mond can go in the 3rd round then Ewers certainly can climb up to 1st round.

He looked super against Bama last year … and then he got hurt and never recovered. He's always been highly ranked. Time will tell if he can live up to it.

He's awful. How hard is it to recruit a solid QB to Texas? They scuffled through last year, the Ehlinger years, Tyrone Swoopes. Garbage after garbage. The fact that Manning can't win the starting job from him tells you all you need to know about the 2023 Horns.

He can really spin it
but has problems with pocket awareness, identifying blitzes, dealing with delayed blitzes. instinctual stuff behind the LOS when under pressure. Not somebody who can make something out of nothing.

The Manning Family plan was always to redshirt Arch, regardless of where he went; he played at a smallish (like 3A/4A in Texas) private school in New Orleans and they felt he needed a year to adjust to the speed of D1 football, college life, etc.
