Fun fact, I was at the first game when this league formed, it was at the Summit (Compaq Center at that point?). My neighbor growing up was a few years younger and played for his high school team at the time. They had a game just before the A&M - t.u. game, then he switched jerseys to play for the sips. Another neighbor was at t.u. and he played for them. There were only half a dozen t.u. players that actually were students there, most were just friends of the two sips that started/ran that team.
