Six guys at UT have started a nonprofit with a ten million to generate 800,000 a year to pay for the rights to the NIL's of the 16 scholarship offensive lineman at 50,000 each Their goal is to get enough money to take care of the other scholly players. They think they can make 8%, so to take care of 85 scholarship players at 50,000 per year apiece my rough calculations come to a base fund of 53,125,000. That's just gonna be the start of the war. I wonder where it's gonna end. This is gonna cost some guys some real money. I bet these funds hit a hundred million real quick.

Red McCombs, Michael Dell, the investment guy in Dallas, Sonny Brown, etc are better guesses. Every major program has guys who can do it, but it's gonna suck a lot of money out of other functions of the universities. I don't see anyone winning this war except the players. The good news for UT is that it virtually removes control of the football program from our idiot administrators and puts it in the hands of the rich guys. I gotta believe they can do better than the travesty that has been the last eleven years.

Students at Colleges and Universities will one day form an underground league of outlaw teams formed exclusively of junior and seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA, to play for nothing more than the honor of their school. They will square off in out of the way fields, often at night, and always in secret. Underground legends will be born, and an esprit de corps, not unlike men at war will be developed among these men. It will be for many a life changing experience they carry with them until they die.

Then ESPN will find out about it and destroy everything. I also expect the NCAA to sue each individual player. For some reason.

Don't think that this is going to end well for Texas.

The SJW's are going to have a field day with this. When social needs are underfunded, they will be all over this for their demands to be met.
