Now that we have to start playing Texas and Oklahoma on the regular again soon. Hypothetically if we had to begin a protected non conference rivalry who would you schedule? Baylor, Texas Tech or maybe someone else.. like start a new rivalry with TCU? Personally I would love to play Baylor every season I know most aggies would probably disagree, but besides Texas I find myself hating Baylor the most and the idea of smacking them every year and shutting up their fans is an idea I like! However who would y'all pick?

Baylor is the worst.
They tried to sabotage our SEC move.
I don't ever want to have anything to do with them again

I would love for my Coogs to play A&M in football.

However UH has nothing to gain. If we win everyone expects it. If we lose it could hurt our recruiting in the Houston area.

But it would be a fun game. I would maybe give a 2 for 1 deal. 2 games in Houston and 1 in College Station.

Go Coogs!

A&M has way too much to lose by even playing Baylor, Tech, UH, TCU, or OSU. Makes zero sense for the Ags to play any of them ever again in The regular season.

Likewise, A&M has nothing to gain. If we win everyone expects it. If we lose it could hurt our recruiting in the Houston area. And either way, we get our car stereos stolen.,

I hate to say it but I think Baylor would be the best overall choice.

Rice.

Its a nice, close bus trip for the Owls. If we do like a 3 for 1, Rice Stadium can seat 70k good Ags and still has come great sight lines.

If you don't like old stadiums with few modern amenities, you can stay at home and watch on TV

It would be fun to play at Rice Stadium but I'm sure they would have it at NRG like when Texas played Rice here a couple years ago.

I got bored and made the following list of A&M's past conference foes and which ones we've played the most games against. Obviously the sips, hogs, theives, and missery won't count but I'm suprised that Baylor is our next most-played team. I guess I'd never looked at who all chartered the SWC...

That said, I'd be more for playing tech than baylor.

Aggies beat the Haymakers 47-0 in 1920, but I still would like to renew that series to really put them in their place.

Bayrol just sucks and we should never play them again ever. Same goes with Tech. TCU is boring.

I would vote for Okie State. They are generally fairly good but usually not that good. Their fans also seem to be of a much better caliber than Bayrol or Tech Fans.

I'd say baylor for selfish reasons living in the Waco are and the history of the series with them killing a student. Beating them would be nice to see.

I don't have any skin in this game (or legit vote) since I'm not an A&M graduate, but I hate Baylor with a passion.

We left the B12 to stop playing small time teams that nobody respects you beating or losing to

And let's be honest it's the same reason sip is leaving too

Leave them to rot in CUSA with Coog high and my little pony where they always belonged

None, we don't need the win ( doesn't help SoS) and they don't need the loss

Teams waiting the longest since their last national championship:
TCU (1938)
TAMC (1939)

I would rather not draw attention to that.

LSU was my favorite non-conference opponent before, and I'm so glad we play them yearly, now.

It would be t.u. as an extremely distant 2nd - and only if we were mandated to play one non-conf. game yearly - , but now that's gonna be regular.

We're in a great spot and I wouldn't trade it. Besides, realistically, with a 9-game conf. schedule, I feel for Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. They're kinda roped into Power 5 non-conf. games by rivalry. Only 2 spots left for another top non-conf. game? No thanks.

Rice is the only answer…the others are helped way too much by playing A&M.

SMU is also a possibility, too…but they can pull in talent that Rice doesn't get.

Personally, I'd suggest in-state games against UTSA and UNT. They both are public schools and games against them are more likely to bring fans to Kyle and also provide Ags in Central and North Texas an easy game to attend.

TCU -> one of our oldest rivals. They are the reason for our hand symbol (gig'em). That was a traditional corps trip. In the metroplex. Nice small stadium. Recently a good reputation not backed up by on the field results.
