247 Link: Mack Brown looks back on emotions of A&M-Texas Bonfire game

I saw this article today and thought people on here should see it. Mack Brown is a class act, despite wearing burnt orange for a few decades.

Also deciding to include a link to the Texas band playing "Amazing Grace" as tribute:

This is what college football is about in my opinion. It's what separates itself from other sports.

Merry Christmas and BTHO UNC.

Dude is indeed a class act who understood there are WAY more important things than football games.

Mack and band were classy that year, but saw enough ridicule and jokes about the bonfire tragedy on sip sites to make me puke. Eff 'em.

That happened about 20 yards in front of me. Not sure if it was more classy or more powerful, because it was both. Will never forget it, and the years haven't done much to blur that memory.

I wasn't far from you...section 112, Row 12, seats 1,2,3 & 4....classiest thing I've ever seen. I wept.

Because a few people on the internet behind a keyboard are more powerful than in person, putting aside differences for a few hours. Get a grip.

If I remember correctly, when the band did their tribute we stood for the rest of their performance.

It was classy, and I would hope that everyone would do that in a similar situation.

Mack is a politician and he did the politically calculated thing. The core of his person is high operating narcissist.

It's not surprising, people with Cluster B personality disorders gravitate to these type of professions and have a better chance to rise to the top of that profession's hierarchy.

Mack Brown was trying to impress the media not A&M fans. Politician antics, nothing else.

Yeah it's pretty disgusting and just inhumane some of the crap people have talked. Mack Brown and the t.u band were very classy following the collapse of bonfire.

I remember tsips coming to Texags posting that they were good tsips because they didn't make bonfire jokes. It was as if they wanted credit for not being ghouls.
