So,per the Big XII contract, in odd numbered years (here)

ESPN/ABC has the first pick the biggest game of the year it wants in the Big 12. This year it happened to think it was LSU/Texas instead of the biggest conference game of OU/Texas, which was left to Fox at 11 AM. I guess ABC wanted a prime time game instead of a sheety 11 AM game.

The RRS has been at 11 a lot, even when both teams were top 10. 2008 was one example. This doesn't necessarily mean much. And being on Fox isn't any different than being on ABC was then.

ABC would've had it if they wanted it....would've been at 11 AM on ABC....they passed, opting instead for LSU/Texas, which would've gone to Fox otherwise. Your point about the RRS being at 11 AM makes no sense.

That tells you right there what espn/abc thinks of big12 conference games. When they would prefer a a non-conference sec/tu matchup over the historic RRS OU/tu conference game to possibly determine the champion of the big12. It highlights the drawing power of the SEC.

I'll bet espn doesn't think much of the longhorn network either after consecutive years of failure.
