AUSTIN — Apparently, the Kansas State pass rush was not the only thing to get to Chance Mock on Saturday afternoon.
"All I have to say about that is this: People can have their opinions," Mock said. "There are only two people that have an opinion (coach Mack Brown and offensive coordinator Greg Davis). What they say goes. Yeah, it's difficult from (your) own home crowd (if it) doesn't want to see you play.''
Brown said Mock should tune out the fans, who debated in recent years whether Major Applewhite or Chris Simms should start for the Longhorns.
"Chance needs to quit listening," Brown said. "I make those decisions — they don't. Chance is tough. He's seen all that Major-Chris thing. He'll do fine. And we'll need both of them."
