Say what you will...I've been to tons of college football games and NEVER have I seen police in riot gear like that. That's pretty bad. I'll qualify this by saying I've never seen a Michigan State game.

You guys have been complaining that the Tech administration doesn't do enough for security. Well, you got your wish...now complain about that. From what I've heard, no extra security was needed.

Mad props to the technicalistas for acting like human beings after the game. It clearly took huge effort.

They were necessary, or they wouldn't have been there. Tech fans have proven over the last several years that this type of security is needed when the Ags play in Lubbock. Just because they didn't have to stop a riot last night does not mean they weren't necessary. It's sad when riot police have to show up for football games not held in Israel.

At least they kept them in the tunnel, but I could see them all the way across the field lurking
there. It seemed like every DPS trooper in the state was at the game. Ten at each end around the goalposts and they were also strung out all around the South end by the Tech students.
