I went to Jake's Sports Bar, which I'm pretty sure became the most popular bar in Lubbock on Saturday.
They were the only place in town showing the game because they got the webcast and projected it onto all their TVs. Over the course of the night the owner went to Sam's to buy more tables and 3 additional big screens, it was crazy wack funky.
The quality was pretty good but we didn't have any play-by-play, we tried to put on the Tech broadcast but it was like 2 full plays ahead of the webcast so people in the other room were listening to it and watching and when Francis caught the game-winning TD they went nuts like 2 plays before it happened, so we knew something good had happened, it kinda sucked. The same thing happened when Aycock made the pick, it was well worth it though.
The fire marshall showed up by 8 and wasn't letting anyone else in, there must have been about 600-700 people there and it was nuts, it was like a game atmosphere, lot of fun.
