This game will be the pivotal game in each team's season.

A loss here will pretty much put Tech on its usual 6 or 7 win course, and A&M cannot afford to lose to Tech for a third straight year, and the 7th time in 9 years.

If A&M wins, it will almost guarantee a good first season for Fran.

If Tech wins, they will be able to buy stamps and stuff.

Feel the excitement...

I don't think this game looks too good for the ags. Of course, if Leach shows up drunk again like he did last Saturday, I guess anything could happen. It is a pivotal game for both teams. atm doesn't want to come to Lubbock after losing 2 straight. Don't they usually wait until the Tech game to give up the early ranking? What gives?

Other than the game being in lubbock, how do you figure tektard is a better team right now?

How do you figure A&M will not be handing tektard its 3rd straight loss?

Our offense will up points on tech. Tech's offense will put up points on us. We both have crappy defenses, wash there.

Both teams will need to score in the red zone which both had problems with last week.

For tech to win, they must contol the penalties and the turnovers and pick us apart with the aerial attack.

For A&M to win, we have utilize special teams well (like we have already) and keep Reggie on the field, eating up clock and controlling time of possession.

Unfortunatley, the sad shape of our defense may prove our fate in this one. Should be a good game.

Well, Urban has a good point...both defenses kinda suck. But I think our offense is much better. Putting up 700 yards against NCState didn't change my mind. Sure, if we put the ball on the floor and throw a bunch of pics like last week, we could lose to anybody. But if the atm offense sputters like it has shown a propensity to do, it'll be in a hole it can't get out of.

I agree about our lack of depth on defense may be a problem, but we'll be playing with 5 or more DBs a lot of the time, and tech isn't a team that will be able to expose the weakness our front 7 has for stopping the run. Our secondary isn't as thin as the front 7.

More importantaly, Torbush will not allow them to dink and dunk all the way down the field like Hankwitz did. I expect we'll see more blitzes and more QB pressure. This has been proven to be the way to stop their offense, and Torbush loves to blitz anyway. It may get us burned some, but either they'll score quickly, turn the ball over, or be forced to punt sooner, in any of these events, our defense won't be on the field as long.

Our defensive coordinator will not be calling off the dogs and going to prevent in the 4th quarter either.

I like A&M's chances in this one. We'll be able to score points more or less at will on tech's defense. They will more than likely score a lot of points as well, but I think we'll slow them down enough to win the game.

Nothing, not the winner, or how the game is won, or anything else would surprise me in this game though.

How do you figure your offense is much better?

You don't get any points for putting up 700 yards and you only scored 21 points, the last 7 of those being in garbage time.

We put up 19 on VT's defense in a hurricane. The swirling winds and rain severly reduced our threat of spreading the field for Reggie's arm and running abilities.

We agree on one thing...like most games Tech plays in, no outcome would surprise me.

I agree. We made WAY too many mistakes to beat anybody. Still, our offense is proven dangerous. Your OC isn't thinking "hell, Tech only scored 21, this oughta be no problem". As pointed out after the game, you will probably never again see a football game where a team has 700 yards of offense and only 21 points. That was a fluke. But NC State is better than Tech anyway.

The team with the better time of possession will win this game. Keeping the other team's offense on the sideline will be key.

I can tell you right now that atm will have more TOP than Tech...so will every other team we play except for maybe Baylor.

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago we were saying that both teams have great or at least good defenses, this is going to be a hard fought defensive game, and the team that can run the ball the best will win. 14 or 17 points would have meant victory.

Right now, until Tech can learn to score in the Red Zone, eliminate stupid mental errors, reduce the penalties, fix the special teams, and accept field goals as viable plays for 4th down, I can't predict a victory over anybody except Baylor.

The over/under for this game will be 76+.

I earnestly pray that the ghost of Charlie Moran has returned in the form of Coach Fran, and that we never again lose to those "other people" over in Travis County. At least not very often.

The way both teams have played their first 3 games the first half should be a classic.....

Also based on the first 3 games the second half could look like an arena league game.........

Im more interested in seeing the ole miss-tech game this weekend

Talk about two pass happy offenses, that game will take forever and the end score will probably be something close to a basketball score
