I agree about our lack of depth on defense may be a problem, but we'll be playing with 5 or more DBs a lot of the time, and tech isn't a team that will be able to expose the weakness our front 7 has for stopping the run. Our secondary isn't as thin as the front 7.
More importantaly, Torbush will not allow them to dink and dunk all the way down the field like Hankwitz did. I expect we'll see more blitzes and more QB pressure. This has been proven to be the way to stop their offense, and Torbush loves to blitz anyway. It may get us burned some, but either they'll score quickly, turn the ball over, or be forced to punt sooner, in any of these events, our defense won't be on the field as long.
Our defensive coordinator will not be calling off the dogs and going to prevent in the 4th quarter either.
I like A&M's chances in this one. We'll be able to score points more or less at will on tech's defense. They will more than likely score a lot of points as well, but I think we'll slow them down enough to win the game.
Nothing, not the winner, or how the game is won, or anything else would surprise me in this game though.
